Moog One Sound Bank Vol. 1 (64 patches)

The Synth Universe Moog One Sound Bank Volume 1 is a bank of 64 patches for the Moog One 16 voice and 8 voice synthesizer. This sound bank contains a wide variety of pro quality analog sounds including pads, polysynths, strings, chimes, brass, bass, keys, ambient and soundscapes.

If you have not watched the demo videos, view here (patches 1-32) and here (patches 33 – 64). All the patches are demonstrated, with no external audio processing applied so you can hear the sounds for yourself.

These Moog One Sound Banks are the culmination of five years owning and extensively using this incredible synthesizer. I have worked hard to create high quality, interesting and playable sounds which exploit the sweet spots of Moog One and have the potential to take your music in new directions.

Programming on the One is an exercise in layering and splitting the three independent synths. Hence the majority of the patches in this bank contain more than one layer: you are actually getting many more than 64 sounds when you purchase this bank! One example is bass sounds, which I have always included as a split patch with another sound. The patches that do use only a single layer either sound good as they are or have been left that way to retain higher polyphony.

Some patches double up a sound on two layers and then detune and pan them for a rich stereo effect. This is particularly effective on string and polysynth patches and warm pads. The bank also contains many ‘hybrid’ patches which use completely different sounds on each layer, to build up evolving and compelling soundscapes and ambient textures.

The flexibility of the filters, and the ability to apply both oscillator and filter FM, ring modulation and hard sync simultaneously to multiple layers significantly extends the palette of sounds that Moog One can create. Overall, I've focused on exploiting the analog sound for power and richness and for a wide range of timbres, rather than relying too much on modulation and effects.

When you purchase this sound bank you get a zipped folder containing all the individual patches, a 'Read me' document which gives information on installation and getting the most from the sounds, and a full patch list with notes for each patch.
